COOPERATION AMONG INTERNATIONAL AND REGIONAL ORGANIZATIONS: FINDINGS FROM THE FIELD

The last decades have seen an increase in the number of security interventions

and this trend does not seem to recede. This project tackles an inevitable by-product

of this multiplication of the number of interventions, the fact that several

organizations will be intervening in the same location at the same time. As result,

there is a heightened need for cooperation among organizations conducting security

missions and operations. Using regime complexity theory, bureaucratic politics, and

sociology of peacekeeping, this project proposes to understand how cooperation

among organizations is translated and adapted in the field.
