In this masterclass, we work together to develop solutions for typical challenges in university teaching. Topics may include:

· Supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses and, if applicable, doctorates.

· How do students learn academic writing in preparation for their thesis? Recognising the complexity of writing processes and integrating them into meaningful teaching formats.

· Writing with AI: What is useful and what should students and lecturers bear in mind?

· Beyond writing: further developing university teaching, which teaching formats and methods make sense?

10:00-12:30 Part 1: Supervision of BA and MA theses

Participants bring questions about university teaching from their own teaching experience. 

The event will take place at Uni Mail, Room M 4393. 

About the speaker: Matthias Schwarzkopf was the head of the Teaching Center (Servicestelle LehreLernen) at the University of Jena. Since 2015, he is working as a coach for academics, offering workshops and coaching sessions on topics such as university didactics, career development and leadership skills.
