Résumé de la thèse

My thesis will be about land use planning and processes of urban densification. I will explore how densification can be governed considering the existing constraints of private property ownership in cities, and how issues related to social equity and environmental quality can be ensured when implementing densification projects. I will analyze case-studies in the functional region of Bern and Utrecht (the Netherlands) to compare different processes of urban governance and spatial planning.
